Cal Tech is a world-renowned science and engineering institute that marshals some of the world's brightest minds and most innovative tools to address fundamental scientific questions and pressing societal challenges.

The Institute manages JPL for NASA, sending probes to explore the planets of our solar system and quantify changes on our home planet. Caltech also owns and operates large-scale research facilities such as the Seismological Laboratory and a global network of astronomical observatories, including the Palomar and W. M. Keck Observatories; and cofounded and comanages LIGO.

Caltech is an independent, privately supported institution with a 124-acre campus located in Pasadena, California.

The majority of the LA Trumpet Summit events will be held in the 1,136-seat Beckman Auditorium. The auditorium is operated by Cal Tech Campus Programming as a campus and community service, and offers a broad range of performing arts, lectures, films, classes, and entertainment events.

The auditorium's unique architecture was meant to be a "monumental structure" anchoring the north end of campus. It was a gift of Arnold O. and Mabel Beckman. Arnold Beckman was a Caltech alumnus (PhD '28), faculty member, and chairman emeritus of the Board of Trustees.

A few additional events will be held in the 400-seat Ramo Auditorium, in Baxter Hall, across the Beckman lawn.

The Hollywood Bowl is an amphitheater in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. It was named one of the 10 best live music venues in America by Rolling Stone magazine in 2018.

The Hollywood Bowl is known for its band shell, a distinctive set of concentric arches that graced the site from 1929 through 2003, before being replaced with a larger one beginning in the 2004 season. The shell is set against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills and the famous Hollywood Sign to the northeast.

The "bowl" refers to the shape of the concave hillside the amphitheater is carved into. The Bowl is owned by the county of Los Angeles and is the home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the host venue to hundreds of musical events each year.

It is located at 2301 North Highland Avenue, north of Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood/Highland sub station, and south of Route 101.
